Silverfort Identity Security Platform

Silverfort · Identity and Access Security

Extends multi-factor authentication and threat detection to resources that could not support them before.

Draft summary. This page summarises what the vendor's product family is generally known for. Each claim is pending confirmation against vendor documentation.

Overview

Silverfort sits on the authentication path between users, machines and the directory. It watches every sign-in and can require multi-factor authentication or block access, including for legacy applications, command-line tools and systems that cannot run an MFA agent.

It also covers service accounts and other non-human identities, which are often unmonitored, and detects attacks on Active Directory such as credential replay and lateral movement.

Customer challenges and business value

  • MFA does not reach everything

Legacy applications, file shares, remote administration and scripts often sit outside multi-factor protection.

  • Service accounts are invisible

Non-human accounts have powerful, long-lived access, yet are rarely inventoried or monitored.

  • Directory attacks bypass other controls

Techniques that abuse the directory itself seldom trigger endpoint or network alerts.

What this helps you achieve

  • MFA coverage for systems that could not support it
  • Visibility and protection for service accounts
  • Earlier detection of account takeover and lateral movement
